Lot 18 Freedom Arms Model 83 'Field Grade' .454 Casull #D

American made single-action centerfire revolver chambered for .454 Casull, manufactured in Freedom, WY. Dick Casull designed the model 83 in the 1980's, and it became known for being a precision revolver that could handle heavy cartridges. The Field Grade has a satin finish, 4-3/4" round barrel, serrated ramped fixed blade front sight, notched frame rear sight, five-round unfluted cylinder, knurled cylinder pin head, frame mounted firing pin, serrated hammer spur, bird's head style ejector rod button, smooth grip straps, and the two-piece grips are laminated hardwood with resin bonding. The original stainless finish retained is aproximately 99% with only superficial scratches. Metal displays no rust or deformation. Bore is bright with strong rifling, and the cylinder chambers are also excellent. The action is smooth and crisp with a tight lock-up, and the wood grips are excellent.
